  • Finally Updating!

Life has been pretty busy in the Gosser household!IMG_2538_edited-2

My oldest son turned 16 in November and we got him an older mustang for his birthday.  Well, he has wrecked it twice!  One of the wrecks was his fault and the other one wasn't.  We've been to court for his ticket, he's on probation for 6 months and has to go to driving school.  He is in a youth band at church (The Traveling Romans-pic above -he's the one on the right with the glasses on). He is an awesome young man...just needs a little more experience in driving a car. Life is fun!IMG_3710

My middle son was in the car for one of the wreck and had to go to the ER.  He got 10 stiches in his forehead.   On Friday of last week he broke his foot playing basketball at school and he is in a boot cast for three weeks. He plays tournament baseball http://www.usssa.com/sports/Team3.asp?TeamID=703861 and is out of play for three weeks. He missed several days of school and we are working feverishly to make everything up. Life is fun!

IMG_3082My daughter loves to dance and cheer. She dances on average 10 hours per week. She attended the state cheer  competition at UALR this past Saturday and her cheer squad, www.mskarens.com won overall high point in their category and got a five foot trophy.  They were really excited.  She is into everything and wakes up in the morning thinking through her social calendar.  Life is fun!

IMG_3685 My husband is a partner with a commercial construction company www.baldwinshell.com here in town.  He is very busy but always  makes time for family activities.  We love being with the kids and watching them excel in the things they enjoy. We are very blessed and for that I am most grateful.

Life is fun! Have a blessed day!

  • Waiting for the SNOW to fall!

We don't get much frozen precipitation in central Arkansas.  The weather experts are forecasting that today and tonight we might "get something".  Everyone is going crazy.  The store lines are out the door and people are driving like they are running for cover.  I work for a church and people are already calling and asking, "Are we having church tonight?" It is exciting when the whole town shuts down to watch the snow fall, sit with family around the fire or to sled down a hill. I don't think it will get that bad here ...if it does anything at all.....but it would be nice to take it easy today.  I'm hoping for snow!

Thank you to all who have prayed for my friend, Benita, and her family.  Keep them on your prayer list.

Gotta run......going to watch the sky!

P.S.  Didn't my sweet friend Tami do a great job on my site?  She is trying to educate this old lady!

  • Need Prayer for a Dear Friend

    My new Xanga friends -

2006 has been a very rough year for a dear friend of mine who greatly needs your prayers!

My friend, Benita, is a wonderful Christian woman.  She is a hard-working single mother with a precious five year old daughter.

Benita had been sick for quiet a while and in February of 2006 found out that that she had stage 3 colon cancer.  She had her first surgery in February and started chemo treatments.  They did a scan in December and found 5 spots in her liver.  She went into surgery last week to 'treat' the cancers in her liver but the doctors found a nodule growing outside the liver and cancer cells in the lymph glands.  The doctors decided it was too risky and closed her back up.

Benita will have to go the chemo route 'again' only this time a lot stronger dosage.  She is home now recovering from the surgery.  Her mother came from Kentucky to take care of her and now she (her mother) is having heart problems.  I took her to a family doctor clinic today and they are sending her to a heart doctor here in Little Rock tomorrow morning.  When it rains it pours!

Please add my friend to your prayer list. You can read about Benita at www.caringbridge.org

Sign in as a visitor.  Her site name is benitab2

Once you get there you will be instructed as to how to sign in.

It is a new found joy to have awesome prayer warriors like you marching along side of me to the throne of the Great Physician and Healer!
